Welcome Back to Hockey!
There’s something special about stepping into a new rink with my camera in hand — the chill in the air, the scrape of skates, the smell that hockey moms know so well! I can’t help but smile because it brings back so many memories of watching my boys play.
I’ve photographed youth hockey for years, from local travel teams to tier-level tournaments. While living in California, I had the pleasure of working with Hockey Shots Media in San Jose, where I photographed countless USA Hockey National Championship games and some truly incredible talent on the ice.
After more than 15 years behind the lens, this week marked an exciting first for me — my first high school ice hockey game for MaxPreps, right here in Michigan!
A special thank you to Hartland Ice House and Hartland High School Hockey for being so welcoming and allowing me to photograph the games — it was an incredible start to my Michigan hockey journey. 💙🏒
